Artificial intelligence is no longer simply a tool that assists human work.
It is changing how we see, judge, create, and relate to one another.

As boundaries once considered uniquely human begin to shift,

and technology brings new possibilities alongside new responsibilities, we must ask again:

What disappears, and what newly emerges?
And amid these changes, what will humanity and art choose to preserve?

The 2026 Seoul Arts & Future Talks (SAFT), under the theme
“Unfamiliar Intelligence and New Intellect: Designing the Human Age Anew”
explores the future of humanity, art, and relationships amid the transformations driven by artificial intelligence.

The faster our age produces answers,
the more we need questions that demand deeper reflection—and stay with us longer.

SAFT revisits the meaning of humanity, art, and relationships,
opening new ways of seeing the future beyond change.

인공지능은 이제 인간의 일을 돕는 기술을 넘어
우리가 보고, 판단하고, 창작하고, 관계 맺는 방식까지 바꾸고 있습니다.

인간의 고유한 영역이라 믿었던 경계가 흔들리고,
기술이 새로운 가능성과 동시에 새로운 책임을 만들어내는 지금,
우리는 다시 질문해야 합니다.

무엇이 사라지고, 무엇이 되는가.
그리고 그 변화 속에서 인간과 예술은 무엇을 남길 것인가.

2026 서울국제예술포럼 SAFT(Seoul·Arts·Future Talks)는

「낯선 지능과 새로운 지성: 다시, 인간의 시대를 디자인하다」를 주제로
인공지능이 열어가는 변화의 한가운데에서 인간, 예술, 관계의 미래를 살펴봅니다.

빠르게 답을 내놓는 시대일수록,
우리는 더 오래 숙고하고, 더 오래 남을 질문을 필요로 합니다.

SAFT는 인간과 예술, 관계의 의미를 다시 묻고,
변화 너머의 미래를 바라보는 새로운 시선을 열어니다.

For over two decades,

the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture has expanded its role beyond supporting the arts on the ground, creating platforms for dialogue on Seoul’s cultural ecosystem and policies.

Now, as it prepares to take a leap forward

as a global foundation in 2026,

it presents the Seoul International Arts Forum

(SAFT 2025) as a first step toward international exchange and collaboration.

Under the overarching theme,

“Seoul Talks on Arts & Future,”

artists, experts, and policymakers will come together to explore new strategies and visions across art, culture, technology, the city, and public policy.

Held each autumn in Seoul,

when the city is immersed in the arts,

this forum will serve as a global platform

for public discourse

— sharing visions for Seoul’s future

and the future of arts and culture worldwide.
